Hola! I started using facebook, and my poor little blog never gets used anymore! Seems kind of redundant...anyhoo. Been doing the same ol' same ol' for a while now, but here's what's noteworthy:
Just got done with another horse show. My mom and I took a few lessons from our friend Nellie who lives in Beryl (about 30 minutes to the west of Cedar)to brush up on some things and get ready for said show. It really worked wonders for both of us. My mom had the best show she's had in a while, and good ol' Deuce Moose preformed the best he ever has for me, so I'm really happy we did it. Plan on going back for a couple more lessons before the last show of the season. I'm doing really well in the standing and it will mean a chunk of change if I can stay there! Everybody cross your fingers for me. Jarrod brought the boys out to watch and made me totally self conscious (The pressure is always on when I have family or friends show up to watch me ride!), but it was still way fun to see them all.

Show day! In the closest picture, we're showing in the new covered arena at the fairgrounds. It was so miserable in the indoor arena (top picture - 98 degrees and no ventilation) that we all boycotted until they moved us out there. Much better! Unfortunately, we all had to suffer through the English classes first where there are black velvet riding helmets, button down shirts, jackets, and knee-high leather boots. I think I sweat off a couple of pounds that morning...Kris and I will be celebrating our anniversary next weekend. We're both really excited to pass the milestone first year in one piece! We took a couple of days off work to make for a long weekend and I think we just plan on going out to dinner, spending a couple of days out of the house to enjoy ourselves and not have to come home to a dependant child --Oops! I mean roomate, then just vegging the other part of the weekend. Ahhhh...bliss. I'm so ready to thaw out my cake and see if it's still as scrum-didily-umptious as the first time around. :) Thanks for being a great hubby, Kris! I love you!
